|How to add data manually..||5 years 11 months ago||
I found to import data manually using these instructions totally confusing - I don't understand why you would copy and paste the Map Area Names and Map Codes twice?? Very confusing!!! Why insert extra rows for the map names, then just re-add the map names again - with the codes again.. then DELETE them!!! Wow.. please clarify!!
1. Open both the ‘data.csv’ and ‘settings.csv’ files.
|web-based dynamic maps linking to MySql||5 years 12 months ago||
This current setup is not useful for individuals who want to access our maps in areas with low bandwidth and it is very expensive to maintain.
It seems that StatPlanet might meet our needs, providing the option for an offline solution.
Is it possible to link data from MySql directly to shapefiles?
|Sort countries manually and map points.||6 years 1 week ago||
Each country we have is put into a sub sales region and sales region. I have set these totals as map points and they are added alphabetically to the list of countries. To put them at the top of the list, I have put numbers in front of each name. Is there any way I could sort these names manually so I can put the regions at the top of the country list?
Also, when turn the map point setting to false, the circles still pop up. The only difference is when you go to click on the map point, the name is not highlighted in the country list.
|setting up StatPlanet in wordpress||6 years 1 week ago||
I am trying to set up two different StatPlanet Plus maps on the same website domain, under a wordpress install.
After searching these forums I found that you need to add the following to the header to direct each page to the appropriate StatPlanet install. However I am unsure how to set this up correctly as I am encountering errors.
What I am trying to do:
I have two StatPlanet Plus maps of the UK (one at "county" level and one at "local authority" level (a smaller level of geography)). I want one map to go on the page "CountyMap" and...
|Custom shpfile region wholly within a region||6 years 1 week ago||
I have set up a custom shapefile for use with StatPlanet Plus and all data is loaded fine and displays in Statplanet Plus as expected, with the exception of one problem:
When you have a region wholly contained within another region (imagine a city perimeter surrounded by an entire county, it is not possible to solely highlight the "city" region on the map (the whole of the county including the city is highlighted, with corresponding data in the tooltip for the county).
How can this problem be overcome?
The data for the "city" region are loaded within StatPlanet Plus...

|Shapefile Data Disconnect||6 years 3 weeks ago||
Using our the ESRI shapefile version of StatPlanet, we uploaded shapefiles for U.S. Congressional districts. We also compressed them with MapShaper to make them load quicker. The problem is that at times the data seem to not be connecting to the shapefile and we end up with a map that is completely grey with one singular data point as a giant dot off to the upper left. The problem is intermittent and appears on Firefox, Chrome and IE browsers.
The URL is here:
