- You can add any region / continent / city / map area etc. by following these instructions: http://www.statsilk.com/files/resources/User_Guide_StatPlanet.htm#_Toc39...

You would therefore need to add a new column for that region which will contain the summary data. The data itself can be completed using an Excel formula (i.e. to sum all values in a row - http://spreadsheets.about.com/od/tipsandfaqs/f/sum_autosum.htm).
The area itself will be displayed in StatPlanet like any other area. Since names are sorted alphabetically in the panel in the top-right corner, to ensure it appears in the beginning you could add a space before the name of the region.

In the sheet 'Map regions' in the StatPlanet Data Editor, you can add the names of the new regions just added to the relevant custom region row - see also the following link for details:

- Regarding the error when selecting a category from the dropdown: the two ways of selecting categories cannot be used simultaneously so you would need to choose either one or the other. So if you decide to go for the top menu, the category dropdown menu (variable IND-O) would need to be switched off. Or vice versa, if you use the category dropdown menu, the top menu would need to be switched off. Categories and indicators can also be selected from the dropdown above the graph. I hope this is ok for you.

Best,

Frank
