Help with multi-layered maps

Dear friends,

I am looking to make a very simple multi-layered map, but ran into some problems, as I am a beginner with this tool. I have only one standard map, but want to look at several multi-dimensional variables. Ideally, I want the very basic map, but with the buttons on top like here:

I do not need different maps, just different variables over the same map. I have taken a look at the examples, but most concentrate on creating and merging actual maps and very little on importing data.

What would be the easiest way to do it? Thank you!

Hi,

For help in making maps please see the support resources - http://www.statsilk.com/support/resources, in particular the user guide, or for a shorter version the quick start: http://www.statsilk.com/files/resources/Quick_Start.pdf. This video might also be helpful: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jaUeXwbIlNY.

To activate the top menu, you would need to open the StatPlanet Data Editor file, go to the excel sheet 'settings', and set the variable 'TOPMENU' to TRUE (one of the first variables near the top). Please note that this requires StatPlanet Plus (http://www.statsilk.com/software/statplanet-plus).

I hope that helps. Best,

Frank
