How to adjust the graph scales

Hi,

I would like to set the graph scales to a permanent scale that is not the default. I can change it in the application, but where do I adjust the settings so that the same scale appears each time the application is opened?

I am using statplanet plus.

Thank you,
Allyson

Hi Allyson,

The instructions for setting the graph scale can be found here: http://www.statsilk.com/files/resources/User_Guide_StatPlanet.htm#_Toc35...

Please note that this is for all graph types except for the time series graph, which calculates the scale 'on the fly' based on the selected map areas.

Best,

Frank

Is there any way to stop the time series graphs from adjusting automatically? It always starts from zero rather than the minimum figure, so all my time series charts look very flat.

Hi,

The graph scale cannot be manually set for the time series graph (only for the other graph types). If you would be able to share the data files, it could be looked at at this end to see if the automatic scaling can be improved. I can contact you via e-mail if you would like to share them, or otherwise you can reach out via http://www.statsilk.com/contact.

Thanks for your reply, Frank. There is no need to spend time on this particular data set. The issue is that the raw scores are in the range 19 to 31, but the scaling (of the y axis) always seems to start at zero. However, it is only for one university presentation, and is easily corrected because it involves a dataset that has a normal distribution. I can therefore convert it to Z-scores before importing, which then displays OK. Thanks again for your reply.

Hi,
Thanks for the details and glad to hear you resolved it yourself.
